I was pretty skeptical about this stuff. If it works so well, why don’t they come with heels when you buy them?. But after purchasing a few pairs of cute (but painful) shoes, i knew i had to put my skepticism aside and try this stuff. I apply to any areas of my foot where chaffing, blisters, or skin irritation might apply (around toes, bottom of foot, where shoe strap/clasp contacts my skin) and at the end of the day, my feet feel great. If i’m not walking around the office too much, then i can get through the day with one application. If i’m walking a bit more, then i might reapply once during the day. The balm glides on clear and it’s not sticky or smelly. In fact, once you glide it on, you can’t even tell that it’s there. Works well with closed or open toe shoes. The packaging is small, making it easy to carry around in your bag or even pocket if you have to. I’m going to tell everyone about this stuff.
My man ran the la marathon and i got this for him for the day of the race. He is known to get a blister or two on the *bottoms of his feet when he does longer runs. He also wears a good pair of actual running socks (very important). He ran the whole thing and did not get any blisters on the areas where he applied it. He put the balm only on the bottoms of his clean dry feet that morning. After the marathon he had 2 blisters on *top* of his toes. He told me that he did not put the balm on the top part of his feet, because he just didn’t think to. I think that if he would have put it on the tops of his feet, he would not have gotten any blisters that day. Put it all over your feet, tops, bottoms, in between the toes too and on the back of your heel (anywhere that the shoe can possibly rub).
My husband has to wear steel toed work boots. The last pair he bought has been giving him terrible blisters. They are expensive boots-he can’t just throw them away. He tried special bandages for blisters, moleskin, other things. Nothing was working, and he was miserable. Twelve hours a day he wears those boots. He has had trouble with other work boots as well, although not to this extent. I was looking on amazon for something to try. I saw the reviews for this and thought that for the price, and for how much i have already spent looking for solutions, why not?. He was really skeptical, that’s for sure. But the very first day he tried it, he texted me a couple of times during the day, just amazed. He kept saying ‘it’s working’. Every day his feet were getting better, and healing. I bought a couple more already. He keeps one with him, in case he forgets to put it on in the morning. We are both so glad i took a chance. He only has to put in on once a day, by the way.
For the past couple of winters my toes hurt and some times the top of my foot, burn and get swollen whenever i wear winter boots. I have tried all kinds of boots and saw the foot dr and my md who checked my blood for all kinds of stuff and nothing helped. I finally did some reading online and bought this foot glide to see whether this will help me. First time i put it on and wore my winter boots and went out and walked in the grocery shops and came home. Miracle, my toes weren’t swollen and not burning and not hurting and finally i can walk with my boots on not worrying about my toes . I think i am going to be fine this winter, finally .
I cannot write enough about how great this product is. I’m usually in sandals every day or my nursing clogs, but when i go to disney and have to do major walking i wear my sneakers. Problem is, i get blisters every time. I protects beautifully and you don’t feel it at all. It’s also a cinch to put on in this stick form.
I use this stuff almost daily for my work heels. My toes are always rubbing in my heels and its not comfortable. When i discovered this rub stick many years ago in the sports aisle at target i thought id give it a try for a trip to vegas and i have not looked back. Every morning about 10 mins before i put my shoes on i apply it to my toe area thats always rubbing. It goes in clear and is soft. Then when im about to head out the door i put my shoes on and typically im good for the whole day. I do have a couple of pairs of shoes where the rubbing is a bit more extreme so i have to reapply but thats the exception not the rule. For me its the perfect size for application and throwing in my purse.
I get horrible blisters on the back of my feet from friction. I put this on the right foot and tried another brand on my left foot. On my left it left blisters, maybe not as many or as deep but pain is still pain. On my right i only had friction blister where i missed putting product on the side of my foot. Overall i’m pleased with it. I like how i feel it covering the area that i want protection on. I think if i apply it all over the heel area i will have solved the issue.

I have used body glide for women and men on my body many times. I am in the military and plagued with blisters during long field exercises when bathing is limited and hours in boots are very long (and not able to air out my feet &a rest them). I was worried about a film on my feet and not being able to get it off. Nope it came off super easy with baby wipes at the end of the day. I had maybe two blisters in a 20 day field exercise. And i believe that was because i missed those spots. It’s worth the money get it.
I have incredibly sensitive skin and i have always gotten blisters when we go to theme parks, unless i use moleskin. I just discovered foot glide this year and i used it every day on our disney trip and i had no blisters. It was so nice just having my crocs sandals on without having moleskin all over my feet. It is not slippery, it doesn’t irritate my skin. The only negative thing i can even say is that when a heavy rain came on us at the parks, we walked through water a couple inches deep and my crocs sandals got kinda slippery then. I wiped my feet and shoes with paper towels and reapplied the foot glide (just in case it had washed off) and my shoes were no longer slippery. I will definitely have foot glide with me every time i hit the parks.
All, i am proud to post that i had just completed the 2018 boston marathon in torrential rain and hurricane winds. It’s like when you walk from your car to your house door and you are soaked from head to toe. One of the absolute worst conditions for a marathon. A friend recommended body and foot glide. I coated my entire foot, between the toes and all. 2 miles in the pouring rain. Sneakers soaked at the start. I cannot rave more about this product. Incredible value to save you a lot of pain.
This is the only product i found that works for my feet on long ruck marches and or wearing military boots all day. 2 marathon rucks and finished the rucks without any blisters because of this product. Great for anyone great for hikers and anyone who is going to be on their feet for an extended period of time.
I wore heels that always give me blisters for 8 hours and i didn’t get a single one when using this. I plan on getting it again and again. I always have it in my bag at work just in case. I did find it necessary to reapply if i took my shoes off and put them on again.
I bought this after receiving some of the worst blisters i’ve ever had from some really cute shoes. I wanted to wear the shoes again and didn’t want to wear the blister band-aids. I have only used it on the back of my feet since that’s where i was receiving the blisters. It goes on really smoothly and dries some-what quickly. If you put on shoes immediately after, it will be a bit slimy. And i’m not sure if ‘dries’ is the correct word, because it dries as a faintly slick film. It’s not a bothersome feeling, just not really ‘dry’. After a full day, 4-5 hours, of walking i did not have blisters. Though, i could feel the onset of irritation. So i would suggest multiple applications throughout the day if you need to walk a lot.
Purchased two of these for our one-week disney world trip. I knew i’d be walking around a lot and my feet aren’t used to the many miles of walking a day in the hot and humid environment so i didn’t want to be uncomfortable. Happy to say i put it on once in the morning, slipped on some socks and comfy shoes and i didn’t get one blister or issue with my feet. Wish i knew about this a long time ago.
I applied this on a blister-prone area at the beginning of the day. It glides on easily and worked very well during the first few hours of walking. By lunch, i had to reapply, and by mid-afternoon i had to reapply again. Once it’s on, the layer of product is thin, and after walking a lot, it just seems to soak into the skin or wear off. Maybe if it was more emollient or thicker (like more of a paste, perhaps?) it wouldn’t wear off as quickly. Granted, i was walking around on vacation for many hours in the heat (and sweating), so perhaps it should be expected to wear off. Final verdict is that it works well while it’s on your foot, and if you plan on walking a lot in the heat, you should take it with you so you can reapply.
I thought this stuff was a bunch of bs, i was like pssh what a waste of $8 on amazon for this little thing. Well, i put it on today on spots where my flats rub off the skin. My feet survived an entire day, intact. This product made wearing shoes that rub on your ankles/backs of your feet doable.
