GiGi Brazilian Body Hard Wax 14ounce : This wax s very good. It holds unto the hair like a glove

Works well with strips, not able to get it to work without them. . I have been unable to use it as hard wax with out the strips. Maybe i don’t know how to use it, as i have no special training, but it works well as wax with strips.

The product itself isn’t bad, you just have to pay attention to the temperature and the length of hair to get a good pull. But i caution, for the love of god, do not give yourself a brazilian, if you have thick locks and have only done it a few times to yourself with sally hansens pre-waxed strips. I felt like i was trying to pull out my uterus. I couldn’t walk right for days. Next time, i will definitely leave it to the professionals. My cheap butt learned a lesson.

If you do not take it off at just the right time it will break into pieces from either being too cold or too warm which makes it really painful to get all the other small pieces off. I find this hard to get to the right consistency. Because of that it is hard to spread. If you do not take it off at just the right time it will break into pieces from either being too cold or too warm which makes it really painful to get all the other small pieces off.

I was new to waxing when i purchased this product. I read lots of reviews and decided that this one sounded the best. I have continued to buy this product for all my waxing needs as i am very satisfied with it. I also had to purchase a warming pot and spreading sticks, but i have not bothered to use the pre- or post- epilation oils. Below i have listed my regimen for all those who would like to save a little $$. *set the wax to warming in the warming pot at least an hour before you plan to wax. I leave it on high with the cover off for about twenty minutes then leave it on low with the cover on for the rest of the time. * set out a comfortable pillow covered by a large towel that you won’t mind getting ruined in the place you plan on waxing. * also set out a small bowl of cornstarch with a basting brush (or small paintbrush), a bottle of olive oil, cotton balls, good tweezers, small trash can, and a mirror of some sort (if you plan on bikini waxing).

  • USE STRIPS if you’re a newbie like me!
  • It’s good for the price.
  • Dented cans suck, wax worked but I had a hard time pulling it off

This stuff is amazing but does take some getting use to if your. This stuff is amazing but does take some getting use to if your use to using wax with strips- the key is to let it stay cool enough – you want it the consistency of honey- so still very thing and not runny at all- or it can burn you and wont take off the hair. The catch is to let it cool on your skin as well, but not until it gets hard- if you wait too long it will break apart and won’t pull off well. But if done correctly it works beautifully.

I have started doing my own brazilian waxes at home and this wax does come handy. It’s a good size for this money if you know your way about waxing more or less, so that you don’t spend a lot of time doing it which would only promote wasting the product. I have the gigi wax warmer; i set at high first and then keep at medium so that the wax is not too liquid. I have minimum skin irritation after using this product, i appreciate that it has no smell/visible colors added.

I try not to think about how waxing is likely rooted in the patriarchy but if it is at least i’ve acquired this new skill. I wax my own bikini line with this stuff, and while it is not pain free (it’s wax. . You’re ripping hair out by the follicle. ) it’s the only brand i have ever and will ever use. I got a full brazilian a few times while i was living abroad and they always used this kind of hard wax because it actually shrinks up a little bit as it cools, with minimal skin-sticking and maximal hair-grabbing. I don’t give myself full brazilians now because you kinda have to do a crazy amount of yoga and creatively use a handheld mirror to see what you’re doing (never wax what u can’t see, young ones). But mostly i don’t do that bc it hurts like a mofo and shaving the inner bits is honestly totally fine. Definitely invest in the gigi warmer (it’s like 30 bucks, just do it) and watch a few youtube vids, it might take a couple tries getting used to what consistency and what temperature the wax needs to be when you apply it and rip it off. But once you get the hang out it, you can get it done in a solid half hour easy. I would also recommend using (talc-free. That sh*t causes cancer) baby powder to help prevent skin-sticking, and if there are little pieces of wax that are hard to get off at the end use some olive oil. Inevitably there are tiny bit that will come off and stick to ur undies so definitely use a garbage pair right after you wax, and for the next day or two (till u’ve had a couple showers).

Excellent for experienced waxers. This stuff works great and is amazing, however- definitely not for beginners. I recommend if you are thinking of starting waxing at home try sally hansen strip free wax because it is very easy to work with and in small containers that heat quickly, and easier to clean. For the experienced waxer though, this is far more product for your dollar. It has a sugaring/ honey like quality to it, translucent and very very sticky. I love the results and can achieve more control with it, but the large container takes a very long time to heat (hour +) and itll make a heck of a mess if you drip.

I saved a ton of money by switching to gigi. This takes some getting used to, but once you do its awesome. It does the job better than the wax my waxer used. Or maybe i do the job better. Not too sure but either way, this grabs all the hairs it can reach and rips them from the root. My brazilians lasts about 1 1/2 week with this and only about 4-5 days with my waxer. That’s because there is barely any hair left by the root with this product, whereas other hard waxes rip the hair instead leaving the root occasionally. I turn it on high if the container is full let it melt for about 30 mins then turn to medium and wait another 30 mins. It should be the consistency of honey on a cold morning. If it runs like regular honey it is too hot.

I like this wax because it firms up quickly. And it heats up quickly in the warmer. It’s easier to use than the traditional wax where you have to put the straps over it and then pull them off. The only thing i don’t like and i’m sure it’s this way with all the waxes, is if my house is super warm maybe 75 degrees or so the wax will not firm up well. When i checked the price on amazon it’s about $5 cheaper than at sally beauty.

Great results every time for both men and women. I’ve used this product with great success before and will continue to purchase it whenever i run outafter giving myself a brazilian and thoroughly manscaping my partner, and it looks like there’s still 2-3 full self-waxing sessions left in the container. Considering the fact that waxing sessions are $40+ or so, this is a steal. That is, if you’re comfortable with waxing yourself or trust someone enough to wax you. And it’s priced cheaper than it is at the local beauty supply storenote: you do need the warmer.

I’ll basically say the same thing here that i said for the kit i bought from this brand. I’ve been getting waxed forever. I would not recommend for anyone who hasn’t been waxed multiple times. This wont be the best wax of your life but it does the job. I use a little bit of oil before i wax and that helps a lot as does exfoliating the day before. It took me 3 cans of wax before i’d say i really got the hang of what to do. It takes me 1 can to wax both my legs. For $10, sure, i’ll waste on hour of my life hunched over like a crazy person ripping at my legs. The warmer from this company is good also.

I have to use it twice to get everything clean but it works better than other waxes i have tried, so i’m pretty happy with it. You don’t need cloth strips with it. Just let it harden for a couple minutes and rip it off. If some sticks on you after, just use oil and clean it off. The only other wax that is comparable is zipwax hard wax.

Works well, but it’s pretty messy. Only 4 stars because it is not as easy to use as my old brand. I bought this brand because the warmer for my old brand (melting pot mini) broke, and i thought gigi might be cheaper and easier to find. The melting pot wax was way easier to use, and cleaned up way easier. But the gigi grabs the hair better, and you can always find it online or in a store.

Not terrible but not the best, on to the next one. Hard wax is definitely the way to go, glad i made the switch from regular wax and store bought stuff. This hard wax doesn’t do 100% of the job every time but it’s definitely a step in the right direction if you are exploring wax alternatives. I can see this working well for anyone with less stubborn/coarse hair and perhaps less hair overall. I have a high pain tolerance and found this to be painful in the bits you would expect it to be, but for the most part i was shocked at how much less it hurt compared to the regular wax and strip method. 3 stars because i have to reapply in the same spot to get all the hair and also because it thins out and chips away easily which creates a mess. I hope it works better for you.

Very happy, this wax is perfect. I used a different wax before this, parissa was the company but i prefer this wax now. Only mentioning because i use the little pan that parissa included so i don’t even need to buy the expensive wax warmer. I just chip some wax out of the container and heat it up in the pan over my stove.

All purpose honee is better than this hard wax. I used to get waxed at a salon that used this type of wax. They make it look so easy, but you have to get the temp of the wax and the thickness of the application correct. My first use, left bits of wax left all over but the idea of not using muslin strips was nice. I didn’t find this wax as effective in removing hair as compared to the all purpose honee. The second time i used it, i decreased the temp which left the wax thicker and applied it thicker on my legs. It was easier to rip off, but there was still left over bits and because you are using more, you get more for your dollar using the all purpose honee with the muslin strips. This could just be my technique, but i still think the all purpose is more cost effective, easier to use and leaves legs cleaner.

I love gigi brazilian body hard wax i won’t use any other brand. I love gigi brazilian body hard wax. I have been doing my own brazilian waxes for the past couple of months and let me tell you jeje products have been a lifesaver. I find that this wax is the best quality and works the best with the least amount of pain i cut corners to save costs by doing my waxes myself ( well actually my husband does them) but i don’t cut corners when it comes to buying the best wax i have tried other types that are more expensive but i keep coming back to this one i can say try this you won’t be disappointed. If you are like me and trying to do your own waxes you could save money by using baby powder and coconut oil instead of the other gigi products but i wouldn’t skimp on your wax. I also recommend the gg wax warmer i use it and it works wonderful. I do a lot of reviews in exchange for discounts but i like this product so much that i’m reviewing it even though i paid full price.
